Leading by 9 seconds in an Aprilia Superteen Race at Snetterton and the bike breaking down on the last lap!

2006 saw a massive leap, as he competed in the Aprilia Superteen series and the ACU Star (Formula 125). Gaining a runners-up spot in both series, Connor gained an abundance of wins. In the Superteen he had a terrific run, chalking up no less than 15 race victories – more than anyone else in the series- amid 21 podium finishes.

Of the 7 ACU Star rounds he competed in (1 clashed with the superteen) he had 5 podiums (3 wins, 1 second and 1 third). Connor was voted the Best Young Rider of the Year 2006 (Dunlop Trophy) and added his name to a list that includes legends Mike Hailwood, Jim Redman and Barry Sheene.

For 2007, at only 15 years old, Connor stepped up to compete in the British 125GP Championship. Riding with GR Motosport he gained valuable knowledge and experience on new tracks and finished 7th overall in the Dorna Academy Cup for under 16’s.

2008 was a solid season in the British 125GP Championships for Connor. Finishing 5th in the overall standings and 4th in the ACU Academy Cup, claiming a run of podium finishes and giving some outstanding performances. He was handed a wildcard to race in the MotoGP at Donington which was a great achievement and has added to his progress this season.

2009 has been an eventful season, riding for Steve Patrickson and the SP125 team, Connor has had his share of ups and downs. With 5 DNF’s, 3 podiums finishes, 1 Pole position and his first BSB GP125 race win at Croft, Connor has shown his talent and determination at each round with outstanding performances. Finishing 7th in the Championship, his natural progression is now to move up to the National Superstock 600 Championship in 2010.
Connor also won the Wirral 100 Championship 2009.

Plans for 2010 are now finally coming together, with Connor taking delivery of his new 2010 Kawasaki ZX6R, its all systems go!

Connor is desperately seeking sponsorship for the forthcoming season, if you would like to become involved in the 2010 Campaign and would like more information you can contact him here, or alternatively, visit his website.

  31. Thanks Damian, Connors up at Knockhill at the moment – we are all stunned with the tragic loss of Craig Jones. Being from Northwich, he and his Dad have passed on alot of useful advice to Connor over the years.
Thoughts go out to all his family, friends and fans.

  59. Well thats another season done and dusted…….almost, just the last one at Wirral 100 left. Bit of an up and down year, with his first race win at Croft and his first Pole at Silverstone, 5 DNF’s and several front row starts!
Looking towards next season, a move up to the 600’s is the natural progression, and after Connor has shown what he can do on a 125, I’m sure given his ability he will be up with the front runners! Where size shouldnt be an issue! We are already planning next years campaign, and if anyone is interested in coming on board, please see the website http://www.connorbehan.co.uk or drop us an email at connorbehanracing@hotmail.com for further information.
Thanks everyone for their support and comments over the season, and we hope to be at the front for 2010!
