Daniel Kinloch
My name is Daniel Kinloch, I am 19 years old and live in Glasgow, Scotland. For 2010 I will be competing in the National Superstock 600 championship on a Yamaha R6.
My story so far
2004/2005
– I raced in the Scottish minimoto championship, finished 2nd in the Western Scottish Championship.
2006
– I raced in the Scottish Aprilia RS125 championship and finished 5th due to technical difficulties, however I did manage to win a number of races. I also raced in the Melville MCC championship and finished an overall 3rd. I was positive at the end of the season because I treated the year as a learning curve.
2007
– Supersport 600 debut on Suzuki 600 K7. I raced with the team “SureSafe Racing” in a number of different championships around the UK trying to get as much experience as possible, and yet again was another important year for learning the different circuits and the new bike.
2008
– This year I concentrated on the Scottish Super Sport 600 championship with “SureSafe Racing” and kept the Suzuki K7. It was a successful season I managed to get three podiums and my first win in the Scottish SS600. However the year did not finish so well with a couple of crashes in the last two rounds!

2009
– Last year was a successful year with a number of wins and joining a new team. My mechanic – Bob Scott, team mate-Duncan Vincent and team manager – Kenny Brown. We are still running the Suzuki K7, however this will be the final year on the K7 as we feel that it is time for a more competitive bike if we are hoping to win races at the British level next year. Everyone has been working hard and it has paid off with a handful of wins around the country starting with Anglesey, where I qualified on pole, set the fastest lap and won the race. I also won the open class race, which involved battling it out with 1000cc. Then followed Oulton Park, where I managed to win both races again on the Suzuki. Both rounds being part of the New Era club championship. I am also competing in the Scottish Super Sport 600 championship and I am a regular contender in the top 5 and have managed to grab two 2nd positions and a 3rd position. In addition to this I was also the only Suzuki on the grid. I also competed in one of the BSB rounds this year in the Super Stock 600 class on a Yamaha R6. The first meeting was at croft where I qualified 25th and finished 21st. Over all the weekend was good as I started the weekend not knowing the track and not knowing the bike, and was over 3 seconds off the pace in free practice. However I finished the race just over a second off the fastest lap.
2010
– This year we are going to compete in the British Junior Super Stock 600 Championship. This will be a major learning curve as it is a highly competitive class and there are a number of circuits I haven’t been to. I am hoping to gain as much experience as possible and hopefully get some good results.
