Gary Beardsley

Gary Beardsley is from a small town in the peak district in derbyshire, Chesterfield. He first started racing at the beginning of 2007, when he bought his race bike, a standard Honda CBR 400 with his 1st student loan payment. (thats how bad he wanted it)
Gary is currently studying a degree in Motorsport technology at the University of Derby, mainly as a back up plan.

- Ultimate Goal:
- same as everybody, world champion, but to race the tt aswell
Started racing with the Darley Moor racing club at the first round of the championship taking two 7th places in his first ever races, of a 25 rider grid. He went on to win 7 Darley Moor novice 400cc trophies and finished in the top 4 of the Darley Moor formula 400cc championship races several times. Also that year he entered a few rounds of the Derby Phoenix championship at Donnigton and Cadwell park.
Gary Beardsley started 38th on the grid at Cadwell Park and finished 2nd in both formula 400 races, thus winning both of the novice 400 races, (he was the only rider to beat Tom Fisher in the newcomers championship all year, having some great battles, good rivalry). He finished Cadwell Park that weekend, with the 2nd fastest lap of the weekend in the 400 class, with a 1:41.9.
Unfortunately he then broke his left tibia and fibula at Darley Moor in a fast crash that ended his season early. All of the 2007 season was spent on a extremly stock CBR 400 with only 58bhp, against most riders with 75bhp and more.
For 2008 Gary is entering into the Derby Phoenix formula 600cc championship and hopes to win the novice 600cc championship. He will be competing on board a Yamaha R6, which is a much more highly tuned machine, finally giving him the chance to show his full potential.
Gary desperately requires sponsoship for entry fees and tyres, as his student loan wont be able to stretch to the costs of 600cc racing. All sponsors will have their logo’s printed on the bike, helmet, leathers and the corporate team wear, for any help they can provide.
