Motorcycle racer Alex Gault is preparing for a very busy year. Soon after being confirmed as the official Kawasaki entry for the inaugural year of “The National Super Stock 600 Championship” aboard the ASTRO Kawasaki ZX6R. Gault will now also contend the “KTM SUPER DUKE BATTLE” Thanks to “Fowlers of Bristol Ltd”, “MAGSPORT” and “KTM UK” aboard a brand new KTM Super Duke 990R.

The one- make; 12 round series will be held as a support race to British Super Bikes meetings and will be televised. Alex said
“This is another great opportunity for me, the KTM Battle looks a lot of fun and when you get up close the bike, build quality is superb, I am looking forward to the first round at Thruxton. I was out on the bike for the first time at the weekend and found it a lot of fun to ride”.
The “KTM BATTLE” kicks off at Thruxton on the 20th of April and through the year visits Donington Park, Snetterton, Mallory Park, Knockhill, Cadwell Park finishing off on the 12 October at Brands Hatch in Kent.
Rod Veck, Fowlers of Bristol Ltd, Sales manager said “We have been involved with racing for many years this year marks a change in direction and we at Fowlers are very pleased to be supporting a young rider with Alex’ ability.”
This will also see Alex link-up with the race technician he worked with when he won the CB500 Cup in 2005. CB500 Guru “Geoffrey Coxon” will join the team and work with Alex throughout the season, Coxon commented “It will be a challenging year but I have had a quick look at the KTM Bike and I am very pleased with the thought that has went into producing it, I think this could be a very exciting year”.
