It was no fun for Nicole McAleer when she awoke to a sea of white on Sunday morning. On what should have been her first race for the SP 125 Racing Team, she was bitterly disappointed to wake up to a white track.
Having qualified in 19th place on Saturday McAleer was excited about her first race in 2008, but unfortunately it was not to be when the organisers MCRCB & MSV Racing also the owner of the Brands Hatch track, Jonathon Palmer had to take the decision to reschedule the meeting on May 11, just one week before the North West 200. However qualifying will stand from Saturday, therefore, McAleer won’t have to worry about qualifying again for the re-run come May.

Her bitter disappointment at not racing on Sunday was appeased when she meet with twice World Superbike Champion and now Moto GP star, James Toseland, who gave her some words of wisdom and advice which she will remember for the rest of the season. She is now looking ahead to what will be her first race of the season at Thruxton on April 20, but before that she will have some of track racing in the night of the races tomorrow night in Coleraine Rugby / Football Club.
