James Lodge and his brother Jonathan Lodge form the team JJracing and come from a family with a history racing in world grand prix and many british chamionships.
James Lodge first started racing in 2005 aged 16 aboard a 1994 Yamaha, he became interested in the sport after watching brother Jonathan race the year before. Having not ridden a mororcycle in his life before he learned very fast and once he switched from Yamaha to a Honda mid season he got some very respectable results. For 2006 he competed at the same meetings as his older brother. He won his first outright race at Darley moor mid season and also competed in the Brands Hatch British championship final. He finished 12th in the wet race.
In 2007 James finished 3rd in the ACU Motostar Championship and competed in some British rounds. Finishing 19th in the Silverstone British round aboard his own standard bike! He got a very good 9th in the Knockhill British round aboard Ryan Saxelby’s RS Racing RS125. At Oulton Park and Brands he had qualified well in the top 10. 9th at Oulton and 10th at Brands, but failed to make a result from either.
For 2008 James is going to have a full go at the championship aboard one of Saxelby’s tuned machines and has a very good chance of finishing well with alot of the current front runners in the championship leaving for bigger things.
