Jonathan Lodge and his younger brother James Lodge form the team JJracing and come from a family with a history racing in world grand prix and many british chamionships.

Jonathan Lodge first started racing in 2004 aged 17 aboard a 1991 Honda RS125, he soon fell in love with the sport and once he got some more modern machinery he picked it up quickly and got some good results very soon.

After a year of learning in 2005 he was set for a competitive 2006. His main goal was the ACU Motostar championship and he finished a very credible 2nd behind Lee Costello. In addition he won a total of 17 races, 2 other club championships and entered the Brands Hatch British championship final. Expecting to struggle in qualifying, he finished 17th in the race.

In 2007 Jonathans goal was to win the championship he was so close to winning the year before. He secured the ACU Motostar Championship this time with one round to spare. In addition to this he got a 10th place finish at the Silverstone British Championship round and a 16th at the Donnington round aboard Ryan Saxelby’s machines. Jonathan also got the chance to ride a 600 for the first time at the very end of the year and entered a pretty competitive club meeting. The bike was an out of date 2004 Suzuki, but he managed to qualify 2nd the first time ever out on the bike in the wet and finishing in both dry races 5th out of a 20 strong field.

For 2008 Jonathan will be riding a brand new 2008 Yamaha R6 in the new highly competitive British Superstock 600 class.

For the Lodge brothers, it is harder than it is for most when it comes to funding as there is two of them! And although they get lots of help from Earnshaws Motorcycles who have kindly supplied all their bikes they are always looking for more help and anyone who would like to be part of JJracing they would love to hear from you.
