Hi… My name’s Oliver (Olie) Linsdell and I was born in Bedfordshire on 9th November 1987.
My Dad, Steve Linsdell, is recognised as a TT and Manx GP expert and still races. He and Carole, my Mum, run Flitwick Motorcycles, so I guess you could say that bike racing is in my blood.

As I said, bike racing’s in my blood and I began with Motocross in 1992 and then moved to MRO Superteens and BMCRC production 125’s in 2003. This was really my first experience of a competitive racing environment, surrounded by equally hungry young riders – all determined to prove themselves. I think that I managed to resist the temptation of going too hard too soon, and used the year to learn, building on my riding ability and to gain basic racing experience.

Now the 2008 season has well and truly ended, I have been busy sorting out plans for 2009. With the current economic climate, it’s been even harder to find Sponsors and backers! However, I have considered all option carefully and am pleased to announce that with a lot of hard work and help from current backers we have managed to put a competitive package together to race in 2009.

2008 was a financially stressful year for Team Olie Linsdell, and this year we cannot afford to compete at both BSB and the International Road Races, without some additional backing.

It is for that reason, combined with my growing great love for Real road racing, that we have decided that a full season on the roads will be the best career path for both me and our newly formed team. We have managed to secure enough funding to buy and prepare new Yamaha Superbike, Superstock and Supersport machinery, and have once again been offered a use of Honda 125/ 250 machines and the Paton for selected events.

However, we now face the uphill struggle of keeping the bikes running at all of the rounds throughout the year, and meeting the costs of getting backwards and forwards to Ireland throughout the season. We will not skimp on anything at the expense of the professional image of the team and at the moment it looks as though after the TT which events I ride at will be very much decided on how much is left in the pot!

If anybody can offer ANY sort of support to a young rider and an exciting new team please get in touch through my contact page. You can download documents relating to the team and to myself below, and view the provisional events list in the diary page. As I have said, every little helps, so please get in touch!
