Rea wins but is later excluded from race result

The World Supersport pairing of Johnny Rea and Andrew Pitt were excluded from the Donington Park race result following post race inspection which found the HannSpree Ten Kate Honda’s to be running non-control fuel. The race win was therefore handed to Relentless Suzuki rider Ian Lowry.
Pitt, Rea and Lowry had traded the lead for the majority of the race before Johnny Rea made a move and pulled some time out of the chasing pack. Glen Richards on the Triumph came in 4th place with another WSS rider Miguel Praia finishing in 5th just ahead of HM Plant’s Steve Brogan.
