The Barry Sheene Memorial Dinner
The Barry Sheene Memorial Dinner will take place on Saturday 3rd April 2010, at the:

Yes, its the same weekend as the first round of the British Superbike Championship, so why not make a weekend of it AND help raise money for the children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent. During the evening there will also be various auctions that offer items that money, simply cannot buy. A code will then be sent to you to redeem directly with the hotel. At present there are only 20 rooms allocated. The rates are £60 for a single and £80 for a double. But hurry as these are expected to go fairly quickly and will be allocated strictly on a first come first served basis.
Paul Smart – Barry’s brother -in-law and the first rider to win a major race for Ducati; the Imola 200 in 1972.
Scott Smart – Current BSB rider for the Moto Rapido Ducati Team and Barry’s nephew.
To further add to the theme of the evening, there will also be a couple of Barry’s ex Grand Prix bikes on display; his 1975 XR14 Suzuki 500 and his 1981 OW53 Yamaha 500. Both bikes have been kindly loaned from Mr Chris Wilson.

Our guests for the evening are:
Steve Parrish – Current MotoGP commentator and former team mate of Barrys. Steve will give an account of just what it was like being a team mate and friend.
Margaret Smart – Barry’s sister.
Dinner will be 7:30pm for 8:00pm and as Barry was never in to ties, the dress code for the evening will be black Tee Shirt. For those without, the CLIC Sargent “Team Sheene” shirts can be purchased on the night.
Ticket price for the evening is £45 per head and these must be purchased in advance.
Starter – Minestrone Soup.
Main Course – Chicken Wrapped in Pancetta.
Vegetarian Option – Baked Lasagne.
Sweet – Mixed Fruit Salad.
