Wesley Steinschauer

I’ve been riding bikes for about four years now starting riding moto-x when i was 13 years old. When I was 14 I started riding pitbike supermoto and in my first year (2006) I won the British pitbike GP Senior A class supermoto title. I also won the Stomp pitbike championship.
That year I also attended the Red Bull MotoGP academy trials in spain…at the valencia circuit. Although I didnt get chosen for the academy, I received very positive feedback, and was encouraged to start circuit racing.
I did my rookie year last year (2007) in the EMRA F125 series, where I finished second overall for the year. I was leading the championship the whole season, until mechanical failure in September, meant I scored no points and effectively, lost the title to Shaun Winfield, as I was unable to make up the deficit with only one round left. I also recieved a class rookie award from EMRA for the 2007 season.

I also competed in the ACU DUNLOP MOTOSTARS 125 series where i achieved TWO ACU TOPGUN ROOKIE AWARDS. I was running second in the Brands Hatch round of the Motostars, when i binned it on the last corner (clearways) of the last lap, trying to overtake a backmarker. I was the fastest novice in the series, as my lap times and rookie awards will show.
I also competed on my pitbike and won numerous races, including a few British Championship rounds. I also retained my Stomp pitbike supermoto championship title….2007 champ.
We have taken a year out of serious competition to train on a 600cc machine, and have done extensive testing and tracktime on a k6 suzuki gsxr600. I have been told that I have set some very impressive lap times. We will however be entering select races throughout the year, we entered a Thunderbike race last month, to gauge my progress, and I finished 3rd in the 600 class
Last month we bought a yamaha 2007 R6, which is full race prepped. This is the bike we will be with competing next season in the 600 supersport class.
